He has his hands in almost everything on the web related to the church and faith. And he has a very extensive, yet easy-to-follow guide on getting started in blogging, using the top (and free) blog software, WordPress.

I’ve had some type of presence on the web for a (very) long time. In the late 1990s and early 2000s I made a pretty good supplemental income on the web with a site called robslinks.com, or, officially, Rob’s Christian Links and Search Engine. (That’s a screen shot from 2001 in the image there)

A few years ago I used the Wayback Machine to see if anything was archived of my old site. The site was there. I bookmarked it and forgot about it until this week, when I was cleaning up my bookmarks.

Many of the “state of the art” graphics are missing but it’s still a good semblance of the way the site looked in 2001. Digging around the site, I found a graphic of my very first website, which you see below.

Oh, and I found out the robslinks.com domain is for sale: $4,995!

A feature I use from time to time is its “share” feature. If I read something I think others might enjoy or benefit from, I’ll share it. These shared items automatically show up in my “Google Reader Shared Items” list located in the right column of every page of this blog.

For the past several months the blog has suffered from my busyness. My plans for the future are to spend a little bit more time sharing some better content, primarily around the topic of church planting. I’ll still use it for more personal content as well, but the focus will be church planting. We’re almost two years into LifePointe, and nearly four years have passed since the dream was birthed. I’m by no means an expert now, but I do have some experience. I hope to share more of that experience in the future.

I hope you enjoy the new look. And I hope you’ll enjoy the better content in the future.
