LifePointe
No Comments Sunday Look Back
Once again, God graced LifePointe and we had another wonderful time together. The place filled up and there were lots of new faces with us. After the service we had a young man become a new follower of Jesus Christ. There’s nothing better than that!
We had some special guests today. The praise band from First United Methodist Church, here in Amory, took on the role as our band this morning. Two of our guys, Jeff and Patrick, play with them every morning at 8:30, before they come and play with us at 10:30. Well, today they brought the whole group. Outstanding people and musicians. I love to see all the young talent they have. I also love the fact that denominational walls don’t get in the way. Thanks guys and gals, for leading our worship today.
We moved deeper into our Rooted series this morning, with week 4. The topic: Prayer. This was one of those messages you prepare while under heavy conviction. I have to admit I’m not the best pray-er. So I spent the week preparing and repenting, all at the same time. This series is all about being rooted in our faith. The basics are sometimes harder to prepare for than others.
We had an attack of the gremlins this morning. Almost everything, from the sound system to my mic, was somehow infected. Sometimes it wasn’t pretty but it all worked out in the end.
We’ve got our Prayer and Share Small Group experience in a few hours. We’re studying the book of Romans. Very good stuff. I’m looking forward to a great night.
