We turned the Sunday service upside down, at least order-wise. I thought we might be getting into a rut with our service so we changed the order a bit. We did one opening song, then I immediately went into the message. For a few minutes everyone lost their equilibrium, but then we moved right on. After the message the band had a worship set. Everything went great. I had a lot of comments saying how weird but wonderful it felt. In fact, there seemed to be a great deal more energy in our worship with this order than we’ve had recently with the normal order. Hmmm, what can we flip next?
The message was part two of our summer series: Rooted. The topic: What is God like? Or, the Attributes of God. I have to say, that’s the first 24 point message I’ve ever done! Good stuff.
Sunday afternoon we had “The Party @ The Preachers.” We all got together at our farm, pitched a bunch of canopies, grilled a bunch of food, played a bunch of games, and just generally enjoyed spending some down time with each other. I really enjoyed it and I think everyone else did, too. We had well over 100 people attending. I got to tell you, you get a bunch of LifePointers together, and you’re are going to have a party! (See a bunch of Party pictures at the LifePointe Website by clicking here or as one of Beth Schmoock’s Facebook albums by clicking here)
We’re seeing God do some wonderful things at LifePointe. New leaders are stepping up everyday and new ministry opportunities are everywhere. I think we’re moving into a very strong upward trend. To God be the Glory!
