Delayed Sunday Recap
I’ve been on the road for the last couple of days with limited internet access. So I’m just now getting to recapping what was a major day Sunday at LifePointe.
My first reaction is to the crowd. WOW! We were packed to the gills. I think we had two of our worship center chairs available after everyone got in there. We have seen incredible attendance for the last six months, but Sunday was the largest non-holiday crowd, probably, ever. My brother Jeff, who usually does the counts, was not there. My estimate, from my view and others who were there, puts it over the 150 mark.
The worship band stepped up again to an entirely new level. LifePointers, I hope you know just how blessed we are to have those guys for our band. Very strong talent and a love for Jesus even greater. I love our band.
And our Children’s ministries are going insane! I don’t know how many, but a good estimate would be 40+ grades 6 and under. Tisha and all her leaders are really knocking it out.
All our teams are really coming into their own. For all you guys and gals who work behind the scenes, I see you. You are putting everything you’ve got into it and we’re starting to see the results. Good job! Keep it up.
We had our Lunch@LifePointe right after the service. There was some really good dishes and even better conversations. Lunch@LifePointe is a connecting hit.
After lunch was our New Members Class. I love leading the New Members Class. It’s always exciting to share the vision and see people get it. Four fantastic families are now part of the LifePointe revolution!
We finished up the night with our Prayer and Share Small Group experience, which is really taking off. This is, for me, a very important new step in LifePointe’s growth and it’s going great.
So, Sunday was another awesome day. We thank God for all He’s doing in our hearts!
And, oh, yeah, we gave away our offering from last week! We gave every adult attending $10 with only one rule: give it away to someone this week who really needs it. Show the love of Jesus in a practical way. I can’t wait to hear the stories!
