Whether you’re white or black, democrat or republican, you have to agree that today is an historic day for the United States.

I’ve been watching and listening to the reactions I hear down here in Mississippi. There have been the expected remarks from some, but they really are in the minority. Generally, there is anticipation and excitement about our new president. And, refreshingly, most differences are not rooted in racism, but only in the ideology. Though Obama probably finds himself on the opposite end of the spectrum ideologically from those who live in our area, I think most are going to give him a chance, at least for the near term.

So, how do you feel about the new Obama presidency? Where does Romans 13:1 fit in now that Bush is out and Obama is in?
