Reading Now: Spiritual Growth
I used to read all the time and usually had several books going at one time. Then I went to seminary. Forced reading quinched my book hunger. But over the past couple of years I’ve gotten back into the reading swing of things.
One of my favorite Christian authors is Arthur Pink. Pink had an interesting life that you can read about here. His writings are in the same vein as the old Puritan writers of the 17th and 18th centuries, although he lived in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. I’ve got 6 or 7 of his books, and I’m still trying to read them all.
The one I’m reading now is Spiritual Growth. I’ve read it before, quite a few years ago. But it’s really rocking my world right now. It’s, of course, a book about the spiritual growth, or progress, a Christian should make in his life. The book is great and I’m feeling a sermon series coming from this at some point in the future.
If you happen across a book by Pink, grab it and read it. Here’s the link to the book: Spiritual Growth at amazon.com.
