Trying Out Twitter

I created myself a Twitter account a few days ago. I’ve been reading about Twitter and how it’s like the new Facebook or YouTube, so I’m giving it a try. It’s like a blog, only not as complex and restricted to 140 characters. I can use my cell phone and text messages to update my twitter when away from the net. I don’t really know what it’s good for yet, but I’ll twitter for a while to see if I can find out. You can follow my latest twitters on the right side of this page. Give the twitter button a click and see what it’s all about. If you figure it out, let me know!

Hey Rob. I read a story on CNN a couple of weeks ago about twitter. After reading it, I thought about signing up. Afterall, we are going to AFRICA! The story is about an American college student in Egypt covering a political rally (or something like that) when he and his translator get arrested. He twittered one word "arrested" and it got the ball rolling to get him out of jail. Sounds like a winner to me! Have a great day! Missy
