Sunday was another one of those days you always hope to experience when you join others as the church. In my mind it was probably the most moving service in LifePointe’s short history. The entire service moved and flowed together, from the worship to the message.
We finished up our Prayer series with a study of Psalm 13 and “How to Pray When No One is Listening.” The theme struck a chord with me personally and I think God really spoke to us.
The attendance was good but a little bit low. The past three weeks have been down slightly, primarily because of all the sports going on. Summer is about to start so sports and vacations will be only picking up. We had quite a few new faces in the crowd. That’s good. We’ll see how the summer goes.
Our first LifePointe Boot Camp was held yesterday after the morning service. The Boot Camp is our new members class so now we officially have actual members! The Boot Camp went well and I was pleasantly surprised with the number of people attending. A membership class is totally new to everyone here. Nobody really knew what to expect. There was a level of anxiety but I think everyone has a little better feel about it now.
We started implementing our check-in system and it went fairly smooth. This will be a huge help in keeping up with who attends and assist us in follow-up. We’ve had nearly 250 different people attend over the past four months and it’s been a chore keeping us with who is who.
This Sunday is Mother’s Day and we’re having a baby dedication during the service. If you want to participate, let me know.
