Sorry for the late update.
Sunday was another great day to be part of LifePointe Church. If you haven’t listened to our podcast, click here and listen, at least to the singing and our band. Wonderful worship music.
We moved into the third message in our series "Prayer: Life Richly." The third message was titled "Prayer and Fasting," so you can probably guess the subject. Yes, we looked at the very biblical practice of fasting. Fasting, at least in the circles I’ve ran in the past, was not a really popular subject. But we tackled it and then had the audacity to ask our guys and gals to participate in a fast. Our fast started Tuesday night at 7 PM and we broke the fast last night at 7 PM with a biblical meal: Domino’s Pizza. We talked about our experiences afterwards. All in all, I think it was a strong experience for us all.
About 20 or so were out Sunday for a huge soccer tournament in Tupelo, so we thought we’d be empty. But, we had about that many new guests. The worship center was pretty full, but KidzPointe (grades 1-6) was down considerably. Total attendance: 99.
