Teresa and I are headed to Cummings, Georgia Sunday after our service for the Evolve Conference. Evolve is a conference sponsored by churchplanters.com, and is for, you guessed it, church planters. I’m so ready to go. A lot of the church planters I follow, such as Gary Lamb, Steven Furtick, and Mark Batterson will be speaking. Also speaking is Devin Hudson, who has family ties in Amory, where his parents still live and operate a Christian book store. I hope maybe I can get a few minutes to talk with him.

I’m really looking forward to this conference. I really need a battery recharge right now. These conferences always help me remember what I’m doing and why I’m doing it. I also hope to come back with some new ideas about reaching our community. The guys speaking are on the cutting edge of church planting and have lots of insight and wisdom, two things I need more of right now.
