Monday Morning Recap (1 Day Late)
So, I’m not very prompt with the Sunday recap. But we had another great Sunday. The attendance is holding steady at the 3rd week. We had about 125 and the kids are really strong with over 30 attending who are younger than 12. Also, the high school guys and gals are strong. Overall, the age range is wide and I’m a little surprised, in a good way. The 40+ age range attendees are much higher than I anticipated, and that’s very good.
We’re still experimenting with different facets of our Sunday morning service. We moved the coffee and donuts. We moved the kids around some. And we’ll keep experimenting, if for nothing else, just to keep from falling into any ruts.
We also had a big night Sunday. We decided last week to go bowling. It was short notice and most didn’t find out about it until the weekend. We still ended up with about 45 people invading Rebel Lanes in Tupelo. We had six lanes, two with the bumpers up and filled with the younger ones, and one completely filled with teens. There were a few lanes with adults that probably needed the bumpers up, as well. It was fun to be with each other outside the worship and construction time and get to know each other a little better. We also know now who really can bowl. I’m glad I didn’t brag beforehand.
We’re starting this Wednesday night with a Survival Kit study, using the Survival Kit book from LifeWay. The Survival Kit material has been around a long time but I still can’t find anything that better for new Christians and Christians who want to reignite their spiritual growth. We’ve got some extra books if you want to come and join us. We’ll meet at 7 PM and the study continues for 6 weeks.
