The Adventures of A Mississippi Church Planter
Quick Trip Weekend
I’ve just got in from a whirlwind trip to south Mississippi where I preached at Thompson Baptist Church. Thompson is one of those rare rural churches that have it right. They’re all about Jesus and reaching their community. Not too long ago the church added a second morning service and now there is a new building about to be constructed. Buildings don’t make a church but running out of room indicates they are BEING the church.
Standing in that pulpit this morning just reinforced my desire to one day stand before LifePointe Church and see what Jesus has done. It’s coming soon. Can’t wait.
